It was May 2007, when the best Serbian fighter, Miodrag Petković "Pele" beat Marko Igrc and defended his MGMS champion belt, and he hasn't fought in Serbia ever since. The time has come for Pele to put his performance on the line against some of the best European fighters and show why he was never defeated in Serbia.
Petković started his martial arts career with judo, then began practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. 7 years ago, he had his first MMA fight on "Night of Martial Arts" event, where he won the fight and decided to become full time professional MMA fighter. For many years Pele fought on almost every MMA event in Serbia and surrounding countries, while simultaneously competing in Brazillian Jiu Jitsu and Submission Wrestling tournaments with great success. He also participated in Abu Dhabi Combat Club, world's prestigious grappling competition. After some good fights and big wins, Pele fought on Jungle Fight 5 in Brazil and won his fight with guillotine choke. With that victory, doors to the bigger promotions opened for him and he took part in some of the biggest European events and top mma promotions at the time, like Bodog Fight and HCF.
This time Miodrag will fight on eight man tournament on Cage Fight Serbia and try to grab tournament belt and chance for big stage, his potential opponents are Pavel Botka(Czech), Ilija Loncar(Serbia), Goncalo Salgado(Portugal), Jurgen Dolch(Germany), Danijel Corac(Croatia), Sasa Lazic(Serbia) and Drazen Forgac(Croatia).
Also, people who comes in Belgrade Arena on july, 17th will be able to see four super fights. Tomas Rudolecky will face to Mario Schaffler. Under K-1 rules, Kristijan Golubovic will fight against Elvir Behlulovic. Ranked 6th on Sherdog Euro top ten prospect list, undefeted Serbian fighter, Dragan "Gagi" Tesanovic will face Austrian Cage Fight champion, Sascha Weinpolter. Ex member of national Judo team, multiple national Submission Wrestling and Judo tournaments winner, Aleksandar "Rodja" Radosavljevic will face Czech Combat Champion, Patrik Kincl.
