MMA Manager:   “I had a couple of questions about your last very impressive event, were you hurt at any moment?”

RF:” I think the only thing that happened to me in the whole fight was taking one punch, then his forearm clipped me in the temple and then a leg kick, since I only had a bruise on my leg.”

MMA Manager: ”Do you have an idea when your next fight is going to be?”

RF: ”The UFC has called my manager and they talked about a fight possibly in June but it is not set in stone yet.  They didn’t offer an opponent or anything like that and I really don’t know at this point but the June fight is supposed to be in Ireland if everything works out.”

MMA Manager:  ”What about your hand?  Has your hand healed completely now?”

RF:  ”The left hand is completely healed, the nose I had broken from Anderson Silva is completely healed too.  So I am a hundred percent at this point and it felt good in my last fight; walking out there, I could feel the energy, I just felt really good.

MMA Manager:   ”What about the Anderson Silva fight?

RF:  ”I got to give kudos to Anderson, he did a great job that night, he was on his game, I wasn’t obviously, I had a bad night.  I like Nate Marquet and their fighting.   Anderson and Nate Fight in July 7th but I’m rooting for Silva because I’m looking forward to that rematch.  It’s going to be a completely different fight I can guarantee that.”

MMA Manager:   ”Are you going to train differently?

RF:   ”I’ll do some things differently, we overlooked a few things and took some stuff for granted and left it at that.  I’ll make changes in my clinch work and everything else.

MMA Manager:   ”We’ve haven’t see you on the ground much.  How is your ground work?

RF:   “I think you got to see a little bit with Luaso and Tanner, McDonald and I think my opponents have a hard time staying on top of me.  I am great at getting back on my feet when I need to be, and when I’m on top I am great in maintaining position and so you don’t see a lot of submissions out of me because once I get to that position I am looking to keep that position and punish.”

MMA Manager:   “ What are your thought on UFC and Pride?”

RF:  ”UFC signing PRIDE is great for the fans but for the fighters it eliminates negotiating but it is going to bring all the fighters in one category and off course the fighters in Japan have different pay skills.  Who knows maybe that’s going to balance all out in the end.”

MMA Manager:   ”Can I ask where you train in Ohio?”

RF:”Cincinnati Ohio”

MMA Manager:  “You live and train there? Do you have your school in Ohio?”

RF:  ” Yes I do.   But it’s not actually my school, you can go to my website RICHFRANKLIN.com.   You can check out the contact page, it has the information.  I have several different schools; I have an MMA school, a kick boxing school and a boxing school that I go to.  I am at several different facilities in the city.”
